| 70's and 80's rock including pop: One hit wonders, superstars, acid casualties and fashion victims. pop images - They're all here and some you haven't heard of too. If anything connects Led Zeppelin and the Stones with the likes of the Ramones and Roxy Music it may be the sense that this was a golden era for rock that may never be equalled. And yes, there was a lot of crap too. Click the link above for all pop photos. Perhaps most importantly this was the era of the LP, the CD, and, most importantly, the "album". But as with all such flourishings of popular culture this was a convergence of disparate elements. Our archive consists of many pop photographs. Drugs certainly played a part but it was also the particular political and cultural environment of this era that helped to produce such magical music. We have all the images of pop. |
