Aerosmith is an American rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1970. The band consists of lead vocalist Steven Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, bassist Tom Hamilton, and drummer Joey Kramer. Aerosmith's music is a blend of hard rock, blues, and heavy metal, and they are known for their high-energy performances and Tyler's powerful vocals. The band's early albums, such as "Toys in the Attic" and "Rocks," helped establish them as one of the leading rock bands of the 1970s. Their commercial success continued in the 1980s with hits such as "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" and "Love in an Elevator." In the 1990s, Aerosmith made a comeback with the ballad "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" from the film "Armageddon," which became their first number-one hit.
